Pure Grenada Cup Off To A Good Start

There were wins for St. David Top Strikers, St. Mark Western Stars, the National Under-20 Young Gunners and St. Andrew Big Parish Stars at the start of the Pure Grenada Cup football tournament on the week-end.

The tournament features the cream-of-the-crop footballers in each Parish.

St. Mark Western Stars clinch a 2-1 win over St. Patrick Crown City Strikers.

Moran Phillip was named man-of-the-match.

Last night, after a two-all tie at regulation, the National Under-20 Young Gunners prevailed 1-nil in a penalty shoot-out against St. John Dolphins.

Joshua Isaac of the National Under-20 team was awarded the man-of-the-match prize.

Game two also ended in a penalty shoot-out between St. Andrew Big Parish Stars and St. George Royal Cannons, following their nil-all scoreline.

The penalty shoot-out gave St. Andrew Big Parish Stars the edge, two goals to one.

National striker, Saydrel Lewis, was voted man-of-the-match.

The action shifts to Victoria Park, Grenville, Friday and Saturday.
