Grenada’s 2012 four hundred-metre Olympic gold medalist, Kirani James, hitting the track last week-end for the first time this year after his bout with Graves disease, makes the qualifying time to compete in the World championship.

Kirani led his field in Spain in an impressive 44.47 seconds, ahead of his field which included Youssef Karam and

Loo-gwel-ing (Luguelin) Santos.

Up to last week it appeared uncertain whether he would be competing in the world Championship this year.

Up to Newstime we still haven’t got any indication whether he made any announcement to that effect.

Kirani’s fans have applauded his performance in what’s considered his comeback.
