A Hospitality School geared at revolutionizing the tourism industry is to be launched soon to accommodate students from Grenada and the rest of the region.

The Executive Chairman of Sandals Resorts International, Adam Stewart, made the announcement at the three-day Caribbean Conference on sustainable Tourism Development, which culminates today in Grenada.

Speaking about the facility named after his father, the Gordon Butch Stewart School of Hospitality, Adam Stewart says the institution which will soon be operational, is poised to educate and train thousands of aspiring individuals in the regional tourism sector.

The Hospitality school will be a collaborative effort with the University of the West Indies to offer both in-person and online courses.

This initiative aims to ensure that countries in the region maintain their status as premier tourist destinations.

The Sustainable Tourism Conference here was held since Monday as part of the information dissemination and regional awareness component of the CTO’s Strategy for Sustainable Tourism, designed as a forum for networking, information and knowledge exchanges.

It’s been organized on the cusp of the 10-year anniversary of the ‘Pure Grenada’ brand which was launched in February 2014.
