THREE DAY JUVENILE JUSTICE AND CHILD JUSTICE LEGISLATION WORKSHOP PUT ON BY THE MINISTRY OF SOCIAL & COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT, HOUSING AND GENDER AFFAIRS WRAPPED UP YESTERDAY

The three-day Juvenile Justice and Child Justice Legislation workshop, organized by the Ministry of Social & Community Development, Housing, and Gender Affairs, concluded yesterday at the Spice Island Beach Resort.

The training focused on the necessity for updated and robust legislation to promote social justice for women, children, and their families.

Samuel St. Bernard, a Planning Officer at the Ministry of Social Development, expressed his satisfaction with the workshop, highlighting its highly informative nature and its role in guiding future steps.

St. Bernard stated that the workshop achieved its objectives.

The workshop was facilitated by Attorney and consultant, Jacqueline Sealy Burke, a strong advocate providing linkages between social services.

At the conclusion of the workshop, Mrs. Sealy-Burke expressed her optimism, stating her hope that the feedback would be conveyed to the appropriate authorities in order to effect positive change.
