NaDMA conducts Initial Damage Assessment (IDA) Training

The National Disaster Management Agency (NaDMA) with support provided by the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA) through the Country Directed Fund (CDF) on Monday, February 26, conducted an Initial Damage Assessment Training with volunteers from all districts in Grenada.

The purpose of this training is to strengthen the competencies of the members of the District Disaster Committees and volunteers to perform their roles and functions more efficiently.

Since 2022 NaDMA has conducted more than 20 training exercises with staff and volunteers, in several disaster-related areas, as part of its continuous training initiative.

over that time some participants indicated the importance of training in the performance of their duties especially in emergency situations.

More than 20 volunteers benefitted from the Initial Damage Assessment Training earlier today.
