NEARLY FORTY HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS FROM VARIOUS CRITICAL HEALTH DOMAINS ARE PARTICIPATING IN COVID-19 AFTER-ACTION REVIEW WHICH BEGAN TODAY

A Four-Day, training aimed at reviewing the global COVID- 19 pandemic commenced here this morning at the Radisson Beach Resort. 

The primary goal of the training is to evaluate, strengthen, and enhance the readiness of officials to effectively respond to future health emergencies, pandemics, and disasters.

In delivering the keynote address at the opening ceremony Health Minister, Philip Telesford, sees the activity as one that will build resilience within the health sector.

The COVID-19 After-Action Review is a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Health, Wellness, and Religious Affairs, and the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO).

OECS Regional Health Project Coordinator, Carlene Jones, says over the next four days the intention is to do an evaluation of the pandemic and build an efficient plan for the way forward.
