LYVON DATE RECAPTURED

A successful sting operation that commenced in St. David and concluded in St. Andrew has yielded success for members the Royal Grenada Police Force.

At approximately  40 minutes past 1 early this morning, reports released by the RGPF show that lawmen successfully recaptured Lyvon Date, also known as “Magic,” from Griffin Lane, St. Andrew.

Lyvon Date escaped police custody on the 21stof last month, at the time making an appearance under police guard, at the Grenville Magistrate’s court.

The police release noted that Date was found with injuries and was taken to the General Hospital for medical attention.

He was admitted as a patient.

Meantime, Joel Joseph, a 36 year-old, Farmer of Tuilleries, St. Andrew, who was found in the company of Date, will be charged for harbouring a criminal.

The Royal Grenada Police Force expresses profound gratitude to the general public and the media for their efforts in assisting them in recapturing Date.

The RGPF says it’s committed to maintaining the peace and tranquility of the nation.

In view of Date’s recapture, the RGPF has sent out this notification to the public.
