This afternoon, staff at the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, welcomed Sen. the Hon. David Andrew, at his first stop back at the Ministry of Education building, in the Sir Eric Gairy Botanical Gardens in Tanteen, St. George.
Permanent Secretary, Norman Gilbert, met and greeted Minister Andrew upon his arrival, following which Hon. Andrew proceeded to individually greet all staff present.
During a short welcome ceremony, his former work colleague, Shawna Cuffie, read a poem and the Chief Education Officer, Angela Finlay, and several staff members gave special welcome remarks.
Hon. Andrew thanked the management and staff for the warm welcome and said he looks forward to, once again, working along with everyone at the Ministry.
Following the meet and greet, Minister Andrew was shown into his new office at the Ministry and proceeded to meet with the Permanent Secretary, as he begins to guide the work of the Ministry.
