Prolific striker, Jamal Ray Charles, has once again come to Grenada’s rescue in the team’s second match in the CONCACAF Nation’s League.

The name Jamal Ray Charles will always be the talking point as one of the region’s best strikers in the game of soccer.

Three years ago having pursued the professional taste for the game, his role is beginning to pay off dividends for his homeland.

Playing against Belize yesterday in group “A” in the CONCACAF Nation’s League tournament, Jamal pushed a decider into the opponent’s net in injury time to carry the score 2-1 in Grenada’s favour.

The goal was scored in the 94th minute.

The teams went to the interval with Belize in command, 1-nil, through striker, Deon Mc Culay, in the 24th minute.

Grenada equalized in the 14th minute of the second half through an Arthur Patterson strike from the penalty spot, until Jamal sealed the issue seconds before the final whistle.

We would remember Jamal coming off the bench and netting in the decider against St. Kitts/Nevis at the Kirani James Athletic and Football Stadium last Thursday to give Grenada the edge 2 goals to 1.

Grenada goes top-of-the-table on maximum six points from 2 games, followed by French Guiana on 4, after a 2-all draw with St. Kitts/Nevis yesterday.

St. Kitts/Nevis is third on 1 point from 2 games and Belize at the bottom, yet to score.
