GNOW’S Aging Commission To Lead The Way In Educating Citizens About Dementia Care In Grenada

The Aging Commission of the Grenada National Organization of Women (GNOW) has announced its’ role in building awareness and education about dementia and Alzheimers’ related diseases in Grenada.

According to a release from the grouping, this will be done by developing a relationship with the Alzheimer’s disease International (ADI), the Global Federation of National Alzheimer’s Associations around the World.

GNOW speaks of the challenges Latin America and the Caribbean face with Dementia being one of the Biggest Health and Social issues.

The World Health Organization (WHO) is projecting the global growth of people with dementia to be 82 million by 2030 and 152 million by 2050.

GNOW’s Executive Consultant Arlette Murrain says the Aging Commission is dedicated to support ADI’s mission: to raise awareness in Grenada empowering care givers and people with the disease.
