Easter Crime Prevention Warning

0

The Royal Grenada Police Force (RGPF) is urging persons not to be too relaxed when it comes to security this Easter Holiday period.

We remind the public that it is important to take simple measures to protect themselves, their loved ones, and properties.

Homeowners/occupiers are encouraged:
• To ensure they keep their doors and windows locked when leaving home or going to sleep.

• Keep sheds, garages and outbuildings locked when not in use.
• Securely store keys within their home and refrain from leaving spare keys outside of buildings.

• If possible, have a neighbor or someone else check on your home when you are absent.

• Keep all tools in a safe and securely locked place (leaving tools and other implements around the home may contributes to the commission of crimes such as housebreakings.

The RGPF also advises persons to prevent overgrowth in their yard so that it does not become a hideout for criminals.

A special plea is extended to parents/guardians and the public in general to ensure the safety of children and the elderly.

Please remember to contact the police if suspicious individuals or activities are seen in your neighborhood.

The Royal Grenada Police Force wishes all a Happy, Safe and Blessed Easter Season.
