50TH INDEPENDENCE CHURCH SERVICE HELD ON THE SISTER ISLES OF CARRIACOU

As the journey towards Grenada’s 50th Independence anniversary celebrations continues, a thanksgiving service was held on the Sister Isles of Carriacou yesterday.

The ecumenical church service was held at the Lauriston Mini Stadium with minister for Carriacou and Petite Martinique affairs Tevin Andrews, and Opposition senator Norland Cox among other officials in attendance.

Apostle Wendiann Ruffin from the Josiah Reformation Ministries in delivered the homily noting that the theme chosen for this year’s independence celebrations is ideal, “ One Journey, One People, One Future”.

Apostle Ruffin encourages Grenada to come together and unite as one people and build the nation.

In building the Nation, the church leader believes everyone must have National pride.

Speaking sbout unity, Apostle Ruffin emphasized the importance of following the words of our anthem, urging Grenadians to join heads, hearts, and hands in unity to become one.
