Basketballers on the Western corridor are set and ready for their upcoming tournament, the Western Basketball Championships which begins tomorrow at the Gouyave Hard Court.
The opening game will be 7pm and will feature Showtime versus Trojans.
The competition continues Sunday at the Victoria Hard Court with a double header.
The first encounter brings together Victoria juniors and Knockers, followed by Soul Rebels against Sallee Sixers.
Organizers say some six teams are registered for the tournament, where there’ll be 6,000 dollars in cash and other prizes up for grabs.
The main sponsor of the tournament is Dr. Triston Smith.
Among other contributors are the MP for St. Mark, Dr. Clarice Modeste-Curwen and A and A Associates.
