Vincentian Prime Minister, Dr. Gonsalves Speaks Of Memories With Sir James In Grenada At The Time Of Protests In SVG

Vincentian Prime Minister, Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, has also been caught reminiscing about memories relating to the deceased Sir James Mitchell, at that time when the country was bombarded with political pressure, with protests and demonstrations, with support for Sir James’ Government dwindling.

CARICOM intervened, at the time where Leaders were meeting in Grand Anse, St. George’s, at their annual Summit.

Dr. Gonsalves, at the time, opposition leader, was invited to the Summit at the Grand Beach Hotel for talks, which eventually led to his rise to power.

There was an agreement which brought Sir James’ administration to a premature end.

It was a memorable moment 20 years ago in the history of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, as we hear from Dr. Gonsalves.
