US CDC PLACES GRENADA ON A LEVEL THREE TRAVEL HEALTH ADVISORY SHOWING COVID-19 RISKS HIGH PER POPULATION RATIO

THE CENTER FOR DISEASE Control and Prevention (CDC) in the United States has issued what it terms a Level 3 Travel Health Notice for Grenada, due to COVID-19.

This, according to the advisory, means the risk for COVID-19 is high in Grenada, based on the CDC population ratio per 100,000.

Currently, Grenada has no active cases of COVID-19.

To date, the country has recorded 24 cases of the Coronavirus all of which have been deemed medically recovered.

Looking at health considerations, the US CDC also noted severe illnesses cancer, diabetes, sickle cell and heart conditions.

“CDC recommends travelers avoid all nonessential international travel to Grenada.

The advisory which was uploaded to the CDC website yesterday tells travelers at increased risk for severe illness from Covid-19 to consider postponing all travel, including essential travel, to Grenada.
