THE GRENADA MAGISTRATES COURT TODAY LAUNCHED ITS ELECTRONIC LITIGATION PORTAL

The Magistrates Court here today launched its Electronic Litigation Portal (the E-Litigation Portal) Family and Civil Module.

The E-Litigation Portal is an electronic document- filing and service platform, which has positively transformed the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court operations.

The portal already exists in 4 countries.

More specifically, the E-Litigation Portal is expected to  revolutionized the Court’s operations here in Grenada, improved access to justice, aided in the preservation of the Court’s records and increased the efficiency of the Court’s management processes.

Chief Justice of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court, Dame Janice M. Pereira says the court system needs to harness technology, while at the same time indicating that this new portal will transform the way in which business is conducted at the magistracy level.   

Dame Janice Pereira says the court will continue to embrace all of the benefits that technology has to offer.
