Information has reached us indicating that the indefinite suspension slapped on Fr. Gerard Paul by the Head of the Catholic Diocese of St. George’s, Bishop Clyde Harvey, has been lifted.

We understand that a meeting between the two Catholic faithfuls and church associates took place on Saturday with the aim of thrashing out disagreements.

The fall-out came based on utterances by Fr. Paul about the situation in Gaza and atrocities in the conflict by warring parties and the lack of compassion for humanity.

Fr. Paul was outspoken pointing fingers at the church over its silence concerning the matter.

Lately, Fr. Paul disclosed that moves are being made dealing with talks aimed at settling the issue pertaining to his suspension.

He spoke of the meeting which took place Saturday, where there were mediators in the conversation, as well as a witness, and outlining that an agreement was reached to promote harmony.

Roman Catholic Priest, Fr. Gerard Paul, speaking there to a congregation attending mass yesterday at the Holy Family Catholic Church at River Sallee.
