Grenadian Leader, Dr. Keith Mitchell, says every citizen must take personal responsibility for their health.
He was responding to a question posed to him by a media representative this morning, in his first media engagement for the New Year.
The nation schools reopened for face-to-face classes in earnest earlier this week, and there are reports that some Teachers and Ancillary staff were unable to attend, since they’re currently diagnosed with the COVID-19 virus.
Dr. Mitchell says Teachers, as well as individuals, have to accept personal responsibility, but at the same time he indicated that vaccination is key.
Dr. Mitchell says, in the interim substitute teachers will be sourced, but hastened to add that if the matter gets out of control, then educational officials will have to revert to online teaching.
