Agriculture Senator, Roderick St. Clair, is commending the appointment of Trevor Thompson, selected as the Acting Chief Agriculture Officer.
36-year-old Thompson, a veteran at the ministry of agriculture, was earlier this week appointed to the position.
St. Clair says, heβs very pleased with the move.
It was one of his queries in the Senate recently, considering the position left vacant since the retirement of Daniel Lewis July last year.
Applauding the Agriculture Minister overcoming a major hurdle, Senator St. Clair sees Thompsonβs appointment as a positive move, both for the ministry of agriculture and the farming community.
