PURC CONTINUES SENSITIZATION BINGE

The Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC), regulator for the country’s lone electricity provider, GRENLEC, will today continue its sensitization binge educating individuals on the interim tariff.

Among other things, the PURC regulates GRENLEC’s billing and renewable energy system.

During WeeFm’s mid-morning programme earlier this week, PURC representative, Rahim Smith, emphasized part of the organization’s involvement in GRENLEC as it relates to renewable energy.

In its campaign to interact with the public, another PURC representative, Alison Mason, says their task is to disseminate information on the interim tariff, to the company’s consumers.

Meanwhile the PURC is advising the public that the informative session on the interim tariff scheduled for today at the St. Patrick’s Anglican Primary School has been rescheduled for next week Wednesday November 22nd from 5-7 pm.

This change the PURC says is due to the inclement weather condition.
