The stage is set for one of the major activities of the 50th Independence anniversary celebrations, which will see the Nation’s cultural framework in plain sight.

What’s billed as the “Up from Here Concert” will be featured tomorrow at the National Stadium.

Members of the organizing committee forecast an exciting time.

It’s going to be pure entertainment from the word go, according to another member of the team, Akeira Patterson.

Akeira says everything as far as it concerns the execution of a smooth event is on track.

Ricardo Keens Douglas says the independence day cultural activity will be exceptional.

And, like the 50th independence anniversary song says, there’s more to come.

Orlando Romain speaking at a News Conference this morning called by the National Organizing Committee associated with the staging of activities surrounding Grenada’s 50th anniversary of Independence.

Romain went on to disclose that the 5th of February will be the unveiling of the 50-dollar commemorative note.

Romain says the features on the notes relate to Grenada and its legal tender.

At the unveiling, which will be at the Trade Centre, Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell is to outline his vision for the country’s journey to the next 50 years.
