PRESIDENT OF ROTARY INTERNATIONAL JENNIFER JONES TO MAKE AN OFFICIAL VISIT TO GRENADA TOMORROW

The President of Rotary International (2022-23) Jennifer E. Jones will make an official visit to Grenada tomorrow.

The Rotarian ascended to the leadership position in October last year, and is the first woman to be installed as President in the 117 years history of the organization.

Rotary International has a worldwide membership of over 1.4 million persons in over 200 countries.

It’s the first time since its establishment in Grenada; the President of RotaryInternational will visit the Island.

President Jennifer E. Jones will be welcomed by District Governor (2022-23) Leslie L. Ramdhanny who heads the organization in Rotary District 7030.

During her very short stay in Grenada, President Jones is expected to make acourtesy call on Governor General Dame Cecile La Grenade, visit the Grenada School for Special Education and the Quarantine Point Park, then meet and interact with members of the Rotary family at a luncheon reception at the Spice Island Beach Resort.

A Rotarian for over twenty-five years, Jones had previously served as RotaryInternational Vice President, Director, Training Leader, Committee Chair, Moderator and District Governor.

She said one of her goals as Rotary International President is to have double-digit growth in the number of female Rotarians and Rotarians underthe age of 40.

President Jones is also extremely proud of the work Rotary has done in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, providing $29.7 million dollars to help local clubs respond.

Jones is founder and president of Media Street Productions Inc., an award-winning media company in Windsor.

She was chair of the Board of Governors of the University

of Windsor and chair of the Windsor-Essex Regional Chamber of Commerce.
