Petroleum Prices Changes

Effective today the price of petroleum products underwent new changes, applicable with the usual month review.

It shows that the gas price has taken an increase of 64 cents across the tri-island state, while kerosene and diesel also takes a climb.

REPORT:

At the pumps gasoline moves from 13 dollars and 22 cents to 13.86 cent per imperial gallon.

Diesel moves from 12 dollars and 51 cents to $13.09.

Kerosene 7 dollars and 27cents, up from 6.57 cents.

In Carriacou, gasoline goes up 64 cents from 13 dollars and 40 cents to 14.04 cents.

Diesel from 12.69 to 13.27 and Kerosene, from 6.67 to 7.46.

In Petite Martinique, Gasoline will be sold at 8 dollars and 54 cents.

Diesel 7.19 to 7 dollars and 77 cents and Kerosene 7 dollars and 46 cents, 70 cents up from the old price.

A 100-pound cylinder of cooking gas on mainland Grenada goes up by 10 dollars and 85 cents to 187 dollars and 30 cents.

The 20-pound cylinder remains the same – 40 dollars and 37 dollars (Petro Caribe).

Bulk will be sold at $1.95 cents a pound.

In Carriacou and Petite Martinique, the 100-pound cylinder of cooking gas will now be sold at 210 dollars and 30 cents, up by 10.85cents.

The 20-pound cylinder remains stable at 49 dollars and 46 dollars for the Petro Caribe tank.

Bulk will be sold at 1 dollar and 95 cents per pound.

The new Retail Prices are computed based on the average FOB costs: that is; (Ex-refinery prices), for the period, 14th, December 2020, to 13th, January, 2021.

Consumers are strongly encouraged to immediately notify the Price Control/Consumer Affairs Unit in the Ministry of Finance, of any instance of overpricing at telephone number: 440-1369.
