It’s our understanding that the ruling New National Party is today selecting a caretaker for the St. George North-East constituency.
Tobias Clement, who has won the seat in 2 consecutive elections to represent that area is no longer on the NNP bandwagon.
He offered his resignation in November 2019 and took up the role of Opposition Leader.
A meeting of constituency delegates this evening will be making the choice for the caretaker-ship, as we hear from the party’s General Secretary, Roland Bhola.
