The number of new positive Coronavirus cases continues in double digits.
Of the 497 tests done yesterday, 44 have turned up positive and are in isolation.
It brings to 697, the total active cases currently and to date 5,484, the number of confirmed cases since the virus was first detected here March last year.
Of that total, there have been 4,622 recoveries.
The latest Ministry of Health COVID update published last evening show there were 3 deaths over the period yesterday, bringing the cumulative deaths on account of the virus to 165.
Meantime, 44 persons are currently being hospitalized.
As it relates to the COVID vaccination programme, the Ministry of Health says there’s been an additional 312 persons receiving the second dose of vaccine, bringing the total to 25,595.
An additional 230 persons have received the first dose.
