There’s been a fire situation in St. Mark today where two houses were completely destroyed and two partially burnt.
It’s believed the fire started in one house and spread to the additional houses.
Firemen from the areas of Gouyave, Sauteurs and Victoria are said to have responded swiftly to the scene and worked feverishly to help put the blaze under control, together with residents of the community.
Wee FM News Desk spoke with Senator Quince Britton, who was among the residents helping to extinguish the fire.
Senator Britton makes a plea for assistance for the families.
In another incident we understand one man was taken into police custody after setting fire to a structure in Woburn St. George without permission.
