The House Of Representatives have debated and approved a measure whereby motor vehicle license fees will be increased by 50 dollars.
Prime Minister, Dickon Mitchell, justified his governmentโs argument relating to the marked increase of vehicles on the Nationโs roads, as well as the heavy duty types of transport that help in the deterioration of the Road infrastructure.
He says the roads are becoming congested and complained that the ability to maintain and repair the Nationโs roads is under severe strain.
Prime Minister Mitchell, reiterates that immense pressure is placed on the Nationโs roads.
Opposition Leader, Dr. Keith Mitchell, alerted the chamber that vehicle owners have been paying the increased fees already without the resolution having been passed.
