Grenada’s Prime Minister Mitchell Declares The Next Election Will Be His Last

Grenada’s Prime Minister, Dr. the Rt. Hon. Keith Mitchell, declares that the next election will be his last.

He made the point at the meeting of the House of Representatives yesterday, which gave approval for the extension of the country’s State of Emergency to 1^st May, 2022, in the fight against COVID-19.

In announcing his intention to face the polls for the last time, Dr. Mitchell was responding to the Opposition leader’s remarks about the leadership’s role in confronting the virus.

Dr. Mitchell speaks of having confidence in the Grenada people and further stated the next election will be an interesting one for the Opposition Leader.
