A call has been made for Grenada and other small island states (SIDS) to have better access to finances, to enhance their efforts to address environmental and climate issues they face.

It came from Grenada’s Minister of Climate Resilience and the Environment, Kerryne James.

She was addressing the 6th session of the United Nations Environment Assembly in Nairobi, Kenya.

Minister James says Grenada remains committed to sustainability with its local approach toward integrating climate, marine and chemical frameworks to ensure a comprehensive effort.

The United Nations Environment Assembly was held under the theme: Effective, inclusive and sustainable multilateral actions to tackle climate change, biodiversity loss and pollution.
