GRENADA CHICKEN FARM PROJECT IN THE MAKING TO HELP REDUCE THE POULTRY IMPORT BILL

The Grenada Government pledges support in the development of a 2.5 million-dollar poultry project to be established at Felix Park, St. Andrew.

The project is to be funded with support from the Grenada Development Bank (GDB) and the Manager of the farm, Keiron Crossdale.

Grenada Chicken Farm, as it’s dubbed, spans over nine acres, and has the capacity to accommodate some 90,000 birds, prospects that can lead to drastically reducing the country poultry import bill.

Minister for Agriculture, Adrian Thomas, welcomes the project.

Manager of the Grenada Chicken Farm, Keiron Crossdale, says the establishment opens up the possibility for multiple modes of employment.
