GOVERNMENT MINISTER FOR CLIMATE RESILIENCE, THE ENVIRONMENT, AND RENEWABLE ENERGY HAS WON THE 2023 CARICOM WOMEN IN SUSTAINABLE ENERGY (W.I.S.E.) AWARD

Grenada’s Minister for Climate Resilience, the Environment, and Renewable Energy, Kerryne James, the youngest of today’s Parliamentarian in Grenada and the rest of the region, has won the 2023 CARICOM Women In Sustainable Energy (W.I.S.E.) award.

Minister James received the award last Friday, following the 16th Caribbean Renewable Energy Forum (CREF 2024) held in Miami, Florida.

Minister James was accorded the honor of addressing the CREF assembly as one of the distinguished speakers, focusing her discourse on the theme “Caribbean Leadership: Delivering on the Vision”.

The conference, served as an annual nexus for leaders unified in their commitment to attract investments in energy transition initiatives throughout the Caribbean region.

The 3-day event had participation from approximately 500 policymakers, developers, financiers and investors from diverse sectors, including energy, climate, finance, technology, and industry.
