“Diego” Charged In Recent Drug Raid

St. Andrew businessman, Daniel Peters “commonly called “Diego” was today granted bail to the tune of 200, 000 dollars, with three sureties, on account of drug-related charges.

He made his first appearance in a St. George’s magistrate’s court this morning.

Diego, was jointly charged with two other men, a Venezuelan National, Brunny Arira and Del Avris Alberto of the Dominican Republic for conspiracy to trafficking in a controlled drug, possession of a controlled drug, trafficking and money laundering.

Alberto who made his first court appearance prior to today has been granted 200 thousand dollars bail and Arira was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison.

Diego, Arira and Alberto were reportedly arrested and charged when Police, last Sunday, discovered three kilos of cocaine in a vehicle in which they were the occupants.

Diego is represented by attorney, Arley gill and is to reappear in court next Friday.
