Following Grenadaโs first homicide which was recorded Monday, the Ministry of Social Services and Gender Affairs gets into the picture.
It has offered counseling services to the families and close relatives of the victim, Lindy Morain.
It has begun outreach and counselors have begun intervention with the victimโs teenage daughter.
The Ministry of Social Services and Gender Affairs is reportedly very concerned about the effects the incident has on the community, and especially, on Lindyโs relatives.
The incident is being described as โtraumaticโ.
The Minister with responsibility for Social Services and Gender Affairs described the death of Lindy as โa complete tragedy,โ indicating that โEvery incident like this speaks to the need for the society to deal more effectively with conflict resolution.โ
Also adding his voice on the issue relating to domestic violence, Prime Minister, Dr. the Rt. Hon. Keith Mitchell, says itโs a serious problem.
He made the remark considering the stabbing death Monday of Lindy Skinner-Morain.
