CLERGYMAN TELLS GRENADIANS TO DREAM BIG AND WORK ASSIDUOUSLY FOR THEM TO BECOME A REALITY

Grenada clergyman of the Seventh Day Adventist faith tells citizens to dream big and go after their dreams.

This formed the text of the sermon at the October 25 Thanksgiving Service by Pastor Jerome yesterday.

He related to the biblical story about the persistence of a woman with a severe medical condition who braved a large crowd surrounding Jesus, so that she could at least touch the helm of his garment to be healed.

Pastor Jerome explained that in going after her dream, she believed that Jesus was the answer to having her problem solved and proceeded finding him…at which time he was approaching Galilee, where there were large anxious crowds waiting for him.

The Grenadian clergyman is encouraging citizens to be persistent in pursuing their dreams.

Pastor Jerome of the Grenada Seventh Day Adventist Conference, speaking at the October 25 Thanksgiving Service at the Blessed Sacrament RC Church in Grand Anse.

It marked the 40th year of the activity, which surfaced in remembrance of the day when Grenadians were rescued out of bondage, following the Revolutionary Military Council (RMC) overthrow of the Maurice Bishop-led People’s Revolutionary Government, where Prime Minister Bishop and several of his Cabinet Colleagues, political enthusiasts and ordinary citizens met their fate.

Information has it that some 19 of the US interventionist forces were killed here, in efforts to put the Grenadian situation under control, which led to the country’s return to the global democratic fold.

Head of the Catholic Diocese of St. George’s, Bishop Clyde Martin Harvey, impressed upon all who encountered terrible experiences out of the turn of events in October 1983, to find solace in their hearts for the day to come when they will ultimately find healing.

He urged them to continue attempts in that vein.
