Itβs seen as an opportunity to re-unite with family and celebrate traditions dating back over 4,000 years.

Protocol Officer at the Chinese Embassy here, Jason Yin, tells Wee Fm News the celebrations which bring in the New Year last for over two weeks.
In keeping with the observance of Covid-19 protocols, Yin says the celebrations have been scaled down.
