Members of public service Unions took to the streets of the city today protesting for their 4% salary increase, which the Government said it cannot pay at this time, due to the economic fallout because of the COVID-pandemic.
Today was regarded โRed Dayโ by the protestors, who were cladded in something red.
Protestors tooted horns, waved placards and chanted slogans, in pursuit of their 4% salary increase.
WEE FM microphones were on the streets and caught up with the newly-elected President of the Public Workers Union (PWU), Brian Grimes, who noted that the protest will continue until the Government answers the Unionโs call.
