Grenadians in the field of photography joined their counterparts around the globe in observing โ€œWorld Photography Dayโ€, an occasion thatโ€™s recognized on this day every year, bringing to light the value of the profession in this regard, the skills and artistry at the hands of those who man the craft.

The day also lays emphasis on the importance of cameras and photography as it relates to documenting memorable lifetime events.

The word photography stems from the Greek word โ€œphosโ€ an indication of light, a key dimension in the survivability of mankind.

This year, focus is laid on โ€œTranscending the Boundaries of Languageโ€, where photography is coined as a medium of universal value, but in this time, being affected by the onslaught of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Here at home professional photographer, Harron Foteau, gives his impression of how the pandemic is affecting the industry, which has overtime graduated to fit within the new- age innovation spectrum.
