CONSULTATIONS IN THE YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS IN AGRICULTURE AND AGRI-BUSINESS PROJECT ARE UNDERWAY

0

A series of seven consultations have begun relating to the Young Entrepreneurs in Agriculture and Agri-business project, with the aim of implementing project initiatives.

The project is designed to improve opportunities for young people involved in the agriculture sector.

We hear that the project team has met with young people in St. Patrick, discussing and identifying gaps and challenges they currently face and possible areas for support from the project.

The Young Entrepreneurs, Farmers and Fishers in Agriculture and Agri-business Project, is made possible with support funding by the CARICOM Development Fund, at an estimated cost of some 1.3 million US dollars.

Consultations continue in the Parish of St. John today.

At the end of the consultation period there’ll be a call for applications for the various aspects of the project.

The initiative places approximately 300 young farmers, fishers and agro-processors at the center of the Government’s transformational agenda; improving livelihoods and contributing to Grenada’s food production.
