Brazilians Charged For Illegal Entry & Covid19 Breach Deported Back To Brazil

Three Brazilians were today ordered to be deported back to Brazil, following a court procedure.

The three were arrested and charged last Saturday 19th June, after they reportedly entered the State of Grenada illegally, without adhering to stipulated entry protocols.

The individuals reportedly arrived here via a speedboat at Grand Anse, St. George, and were subsequently detained by Immigration authorities.

They were charged for Entering the State without the Consent of an Immigration Officer and Failure to Submit to a Government Approved Quarantine Facility.

They were ordered to be removed from the State by the Presiding Magistrate, Reprimanded and Discharged on the first charge and fined five thousand dollars ($5,000 ECD) each on the second charge.

The fine was paid forthwith and the process to enforce their deportation began.
