Another Explosion At La Soufrière Volcano

It’s been 42 years to date today since the 1979 eruption of the La Soufreire volcano in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

The commemoration, the nature of activity experienced over the past few days with the explosions of the volcano, could only be described as misery.

Grenada and the rest of the Caribbean express solidarity, as inhabitants in the neighbouring territory grapple with the impact of the eruptions.

There was another explosive eruption this morning.

Seismologist, Professor Richard Robertson, says the island continues to experience pyroclastic flows, as a result of continuous explosions.

However, Professor Robertson warns that the volcano is still dangerous.
