The Ministry of Youth and Sports expresses deep sadness at the passing of Mr. Norman Gilbert, a committed contributor to the development of cricket in Grenada and a former member of staff within the Ministry.
Mr. Gilbert served the sport of cricket with distinction through his involvement with the Grenada Cricket Association, where his dedication and steady support helped to strengthen the game and uplift many young athletes. His contribution to national sport, both on and off the field, reflects a life of service and commitment.
He also gave service to the Ministry of Youth and Sports, playing his part in advancing programmes that support youth development and sporting excellence across the country.
Hon. Delma Thomas, Minister for Youth and Sports, noted that Mr. Gilbert’s legacy will live on through the many lives he impacted and the foundation he helped to build within the sporting community.
