What: Next Level Hip Hop Program Opening Ceremony
Who: U.S. Embassy Grenada, American Hip Hop artist-educators, and local Grenadian musicians
When: Monday, April 13, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM
Where: Grenada Boys Secondary School, St. George’s
Why: Next Level is a U.S. Department of State initiative that has successfully operated in over 55 countries since 2014 and is part of Freedom250 celebrations marking the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence.
The program brings American Hip Hop artist-educators to Grenada for a two-week residency from April 13-24, 2026, where they will collaborate with local Grenadian musicians and organizations.
The residency features daily multi-hour workshops from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, covering musical skills, entrepreneurship, and conflict transformation, along with lecture-demonstrations, master classes, and performances. Return transportation is provided for participants.
The residency concludes with a grand finale public showcase on April 24th at the Grenada Boys Secondary School.
U.S. Embassy officials and the Next Level artists will deliver brief remarks at the opening ceremony.
