PR – The Parliamentary Constituency Office celebrated World Teachers’ Day with a special event at the Mermaid Beach Hotel, honoring the dedication and sacrifice of both retired and present teachers.
Minister for Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs & Local Government, Hon. Tevin Andrews, expressed gratitude to teachers who have served for over 30 years and those who retired within the last three years.
Featured speaker Edwin Felix, Student Counselling Coordinator within the Ministry of Education, highlighted the lasting impact of teachers’ influence, noting that the critical thinking skills they impart “become an eternal echo” that transcends retirement and the classroom.
The event was also attended by the Parliamentary Representative for St. George’s North East, who joined in celebrating the tireless efforts of educators.
