PR — The Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) PEARL Programme recently delivered essential supplies to primary schools in Carriacou and Petite Martinique, helping to ease the teaching process and strengthen the quality of education in the sister isles.
The initiative comes as part of the programme’s broader mission to create a stable and supportive learning environment for students and teachers, while advancing its vision of “A quality education for every child.”
“We have been so inspired by the incredible resilience shown by the people of Carriacou and Petite Martinique in the wake of Hurricane Beryl,” said OECS Representative Akima Charles. “This initiative is our way of standing with you, embodying the very essence of collaboration and a shared commitment to building a stronger educational system.”
Principal Kerwin Noel of Mt. Pleasant Government School, speaking on behalf of the schools, expressed gratitude to the OECS PEARL Programme, noting that the supplies will significantly contribute to a more supportive and effective learning environment.
The OECS PEARL Programme is a four-year initiative designed to strengthen education systems across the region, ensuring that every child has access to quality education and the tools needed to succeed.
