Grenada has surged up the FIFA/Coca-Cola Menโ€™s World Ranking, climbing seven places to reach 167th globally, according to the latest rankings released by FIFA on July 9, 2025.

This marks Grenadaโ€™s highest FIFA ranking since September 16, 2021, when the country was lastย  placed at 167 or better signalling a return to form and international competitiveness for the nationalย  team.

President of the Grenada Football Association (GFA), Mr. Marlon Glean, welcomed the news as aย  validation of the ongoing work to strengthen Grenadian football at every level.

โ€œThis improvement in our FIFA ranking is not accidental. It is the result of strategic investment inย  our players, increased international exposure, and a renewed focus on year-round preparation forย  our national teams,โ€ said President Glean. โ€œWe still have a long way to go, but this movementย  reminds us that Grenada is capable of climbing and staying higher.โ€

The ranking boost follows a series of promising performances in competitive matches, includingย  Grenadaโ€™s recent FIFA World Cup Qualifying matches against The Bahamas and St Kitts and Nevisย  respectively. This trajectory is further consolidated by the Associationโ€™s broader commitment toย  technical development, grassroots expansion, and club competitive reform.

Under Gleanโ€™s leadership, the GFA has implemented a number of transformative initiatives,

including:

  • Year-round preparation of 10 national teams
  • The return of a structured womenโ€™s league
  • The Summer of Soccer youth program and National Grassroots program targeting over 5,000ย  children
  • Club support programs totalling over XCD $700,000
  • International collaboration and match opportunities, such as Grenada vs. Russia

This improved ranking also comes ahead of key upcoming fixtures, serving as both motivationย  and momentum for Team Grenada.

โ€œThis is just the beginning. Our goal is not simply to climb the rankings, but to build a footballย  system that is respected, competitive, and sustainable,โ€ Glean added.

The GFA extends its congratulations to the technical staff, players, and all stakeholders whoseย  efforts contributed to this achievement and reaffirms its commitment to the continued growth andย  global recognition of Grenadian football.
