ย Minister for Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs and Local Government, Hon. Tevin Andrews, is pleased with the progress of road infrastructure projects on the island. During a recent visit to several construction sites, Minister Andrews noted that significant advancements have been made in improving road conditions.
Some of the projects visited include:
โ Second Avenue: 680ft of concrete pavement and drains completed
โ Beausejour, Back Road: 775ft of road construction to be completed
โ Upper Lauriston: 675ft of road construction underway
โ Belair/Hospital Road: Over 1300ft of road under construction
Minister Andrews emphasized that these projects highlight that the focus is not only to repair damage caused by Hurricane Beryl but also to build new roads, improving overall infrastructure on the island. Many of these areas previously lacked proper road infrastructure, making this development a significant step forward forย theย community.
