The Housing Authority of Grenada has pledged to cover insurance expenses for the first 10 years for occupants in the Chinese-constructed/Grenada Government low-income housing project in Corinth St. David.

This was explained by Manager of the Housing Authority of Grenada, Jason Williams, last Friday at a ceremony consisting the hand-over of keys by the Chinese Ambassador, Wei Hongtian.

Additionally, Williams says theyโ€™ll oversee security and maintenance for the first three years.ย

Williams outlined the inspections schedule for the other sites, as the process of handing over keys to home owners continues.

Itโ€™s reported that over 150 Grenadians have reached out to financial institutions seeking assistance to purchase units.ย

60 individuals have so far qualified and are pre-approved while 30 have completed inspections.
