World Social Work Day is celebrated on the third Tuesday in March, with events usually being organized throughout the month.
The theme for the occasion this year is โBuen Vivir: (Good Living) a Shared Future for Transformative Change.”
In a statement on the occasion, Minister for Social andย Community Development, Gloria Thomas, looked at theย theme with emphasis on the good living idea.
Senator Thomas stands in the corner of the Nationโs socialย workers, their dedication and compassion and celebratingย their profound impact on the lives of people.
The Social Development Minister highlights a shift awayย from building of societies that prioritize values, principlesย and harmonious community relationships through caring forย each other and the environment.
