The Royal Grenada Police Force (RGPF) is aware of a video circulating on social media, alleging that an individual has been fraudulently obtaining money from members of the public, by impersonating a police officer and falsely claiming the ability to facilitate the acquisition of driverโ€™s licenses.

The public is hereby warned that the only lawful organization authorized to issue Grenada driving licenses is the Licensing Authority, with the process managed exclusively at the Licensing Center located on Dusty Highway. Any claims by individuals outside of this official channel to assist with driver’s license acquisition are fraudulent and should be reported immediately to the nearest police station.

The RGPF emphasizes that the legitimate procedure for obtaining a driver’s license in Grenada involves specific steps, including written examinations, practical driving tests, and the submission of required documentation, all administered by the Licensing Authority. There are no shortcuts or alternative methods for obtaining a valid Grenada driver’s license. Individuals who engage with this fraudulent scheme risk losing their money and may also face legal consequences for attempting to obtain a license through illicit means.

We urge all citizens to be vigilant and to verify the credentials of anyone claiming to be able to assist with official government processes.

For accurate information regarding driverโ€™s license procedures, please contact the Licensing Authority directly on 440-2267, 405-6599, 440-4835 or visit their official premises.
