St. George’s, Grenada – 18th August, 2018 – A tropical wave is in the Lesser Antilles with axis extending from 06 North – 18 North along 60 West, moving West at 20 knots. The wave is in a deep layer wind shear environment, and satellite imagery shows abundant low level moisture associated with it. However, some dry air intrusion is noted in the northwest wave environment. Widely scattered moderate convection and isolated thundershowers are from Barbados to the southern Windward Islands.

THE MET OFFICE HAS ISSUED A WARNING FOR A MEDIUM CHANCE OF FLOODING (ON SATURDAY) AS IT CONTINUES TO MONITOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THIS SYSTEM.
